Nail obsession

Okay so it's been a while since I have gone out in public without nail polish on... To be honest, I cannot remember the last time someone has seen my bare nail, but lately I have been becoming extremely bored with my collection of plain single coloured nail polishes. Being it that I am a very imaginative individual with a steady hand, I sought out to find a site that would guide me down the path of nail enlightenment. While searching for nail sites and designs I came across WAH nails. WAH nails out of London England have been featured on many a blogs prior to my existence on the web but I have fallen in love with their blog! Every nail inspires me to make my own just as perfect.

These nails were the first to catch my eye, so for the first time in my life I attempted nail art...

I used four different nail colours for the two nails, and kept the other three yellow with the top coat.

This was the end result, I was pretty proud of myself to be frank. Although they look nothing like the original (and by original I mean perfect and shiny) for my first attempt at this design they came out beautifully! Oh an fyi, this is my right hand... I am right handed... do the math!

I figure that the combination of my obsession with the WAH nail blog and my OCD over being good at everything I do will drive me to keep painting my nails this way, thus leading to perfection! The next designs I plan on taking a crack at are listed bellow, I will keep my results posted. :)

Oh and P.S. not that I could EVER do this to my own nails, but I LOVE Keith Haring, and WAH’s Haring inspired nails make me want to fly to England and get these done! (FYI Keith Haring, Favourite Artist Ever!)

It all started with a window display

For those of us who live in Toronto, we know the wonder that is Queen Street West. But for those who do not, approach with caution! It is the black plague of shopping, bound to wipe out your bank account in a single block of stores!

Okay I took it a bit far but honestly, every time I’m down there, I find myself spending way more then I intended. Last visit I came across a window display with this beautiful piece of artwork perched on a chair:

Now I know that studded bags have been in FOREVER and will probably never go out of style, but I have always thought they looked kind of cheep when they are not made well. I stopped and stared at this bag for about 15 minutes before I even looked at the price. It was $445... Now being that I am a high school student who works for next to minimum wage, my dream of owning this bag was instantly crushed.

I then proceeded to come home and look for studded bags online, only to be disappointed again by looking at $3000+ bags by GIVENCHY:

And now here I am. Almost broke, studded bagless, and angry at the fact that I cannot afford a $3000 bag. DAMN you Queen Street West, DAMN YOU! So yeah, anyways, I’m on the search for a studded bag under $100... Any suggestions?!
