Being the "boring basics" girl that I am, it was natural instinct to purchase this
beige blazer from
Long Tall Sally last week. With the number of times I called that store, I'm sure the staff over at Long Tall Sally now know my voice by heart. I had been eying it on the website for months before it actually came to any of the Toronto locations. When it finally did, the store called to let ME know that it was in... Now that's what I call grade +A, amazing customer service!
It's extremely light weight for spring, completely water resistant (though I'm sure I will manage to get it dirty somehow) and the perfect addition to my minimalist wardrobe. I plan on wearing the living CRAP out of this thing, so take this as your warning, you're going to be seeing a whole lot of this blazer on FD... Get used to it! Here are two potential outfits I have in mind. The
* represents items I already own:
I've recently fallen in love with color blocking and
neon. If I owned every type of neon yellow accessory known to man, I would die a happy woman. This electric yellow goes great with the plain beige jacket. Add some medium-wash boyfriend fit jeans, a bold colored tank and a neutral shoe, to create a casual day look.
This second look fills me with excitement.
Red & Aqua is one of my favorite color combination's on this planet, and given the gray and beige base of the outfit, I have a bit of room to play with color. These aqua accessories with the pop of red through the cut out oxfords is to die for. ASOS currently has a pair of
gray trousers that I will be purchasing, solely for this look. Paired with this black bustier from torrid, a neutral bag, and these adorable shoes. All that's needed to finish off this look would be a red lip and flawless lashes. *swoon*
