13 Goals for 2013

I'm going to avoid using the word resolution here because that word makes my skin crawl. I find that "resolutions" are often forgotten early into the month of February once the new year hype has died down and people forget that they've even made resolutions to begin with... No, no my friends, these are not resolutions, they are personal goals! (Seriously guys, I have a strong dislike for the word resolution, so play along with me here... It's much like the word "blogoversary" *vomits a litte bit in mouth while gagging...*) Off topic much? Any who, these are my 13 goals for 2013.

one Design and produce a mini plus-size collection Sounds crazy but I have to do it! I have a sketch book filled with ideas and I just have not done anything to make them come alive. This will be the year that I get off my ass, sit in front of that sewing machine and make things happen. two Make one overpriced purchase just because I love it I love pretty things as much as the next girl, but pretty things are overpriced! Even if I happened to be rich, I don't think I could bring myself to pay $5000 for a hand bag! This year, I will take the leap and buy ONE overpriced item that I fall in love with... JUST ONE! three Take a photography class I've been meaning to do so for years now! Maybe I'll take it this summer, or try and sneak it into my spring semester of classes... four Buy a calendar... and actually USE it Up until now i've been using my memory as a reminder for due dates and special events and it has been serving me well thus far but my brain needs a break! I will learn to write things down and use a calendar to plan ahead! five Learn how to make sushi I love sushi. I eat it weekly... Most of the time, daily! It's time to stop paying people to make me sushi when I can make it myself dammit! (I'm sure I will still buy sushi a couple of times per month, who am I really kidding with that one?) six Take a trip to somewhere new Fun in the sun can only take a girl so far. I want to have life experiences, meet new people, taste new food. Go somewhere where the culture and customs are foreign and slightly scary to me. Not so much Eat, Pray, Love... More Eat, Laugh, Party! seven Dye my hair a crazy "unnatural" color I was born a brunette. I've had red hair, blonde hair and almost every natural color between, but it is time for immense amounts of drastic hair change. I too am crazy and unnatural... I think it speaks for itself. eight Learn how to use makeup properly and apply it with actual brushes As of currently, if I cannot apply it with my fingers, I'm not using it... How I have made it this far into my female adulthood, do not ask...

nine Save $5,000 If I stop buying shit I don't need, like everything from Forever21 when the new shipment comes in monthly (seriously, what the fuck is wrong with me?!) I should be fine! Seriously, I don't need another t-shirt... ten Try to buy only really amazing statement pieces I seriously own the world supply of basics. White/black t-shirts, white/black dresses, white/black blazers, white/black everything! It's time to start buying those "wow, where on God's green earth did you get that" pieces... It's going to be tough but I will thank myself in a year when my wardrobe is flawless. eleven POST MORE! I love posting here, I really do. I hopefully will be posting a lot more content... Maybe writing for another website. *cough* hint on good things to come *cough* Of course I will still be posting outfits but most importantly, I'll be posting whatever I please! I hope you guys will stick around for the changes. twelve Throw a dinner party for more then 5 people I've always wanted to throw a dinner party! I'm not exactly sure why but I love cooking for people and people love to eat, so why not?! Now all I need is a date, time and 5 people... Any volunteers? thirteen Become and remain truly happy I am the happiest I have been in years but there is always room for improvement, right? I love the person I have become and the people I surround myself with. I want to find happiness in absolutely everything I do this year and bring that joy into the lives of those I love.
